Maintaining Wilsonart® Flooring
Wilsonart Flooring is as close to "maintenance-free" as a floor can get. The high pressure laminate surface makes it virtually impossible for dirt or grime to get a foothold.
Routine cleaning is as easy as a quick once-over with the vacuum or Wilsonart Flooring Spray Cleaner and a terry cloth mop. For heavier cleaning, dilute one ounce of Wilsonart Flooring Cleaner in a gallon of warm water - or use a soap-free household cleaner.
Removing Tough Spots
- Sticky problems like gum or candle wax: let the spot harden completely, then scrape it off gently using a blunt knife or the edge of a credit card
- Film or Residue: using a clean rag dampened with a small amount of Wilsonart Flooring Cleaner, ammonia, acetone or a household solvent
- Crayons, markers, nail polish, etc.: use a soft clean rag dampened with mineral spirits or acetone
Maintenance "no-no's"
- Never flood the floor - Wilsonart Flooring should not be subjected to excessive amounts of water, nor should water be allowed to stand on the floor
- Never buff, wax or polish Wilsonart Flooring - you could cause the surface to become extremely slippery
- Never use harsh or abrasive cleaners, steel wool or soap-based detergents on Wilsonart Flooring
